A Lady....

Hi there...
I have had time for another play....
I follow the very lovely and talented Debby's Blog and when I saw this post  it reminded me that I had this lovely wooden stamp and that I hadn't used it for a while....I really loved the card that Debby made and I hope she doesn't mind I lifted the LO....
I'm really pleased with how it has turned out, thank you Debby for all the inspiration...
She is coloured with ProMarkers and the backing papers are K&Co
If you haven't visited Debby, please do..she is a constant source of inspiration..
Thanks for looking..

A Rare...

day off...
I had a day off visiting today as dad had visits from mum, my brother and nephew and cousin...luckily they saw him on one of his better days.....
So I thought I would have a tidy in the room of stash and then a little play. It's been that long since I have managed anything that I wasn't sure what to try...So I checked out the Penny Black Challenge and found it was a sketch, which I knew would help, seeing as though I didn't have a clue where to start....
I hope my card is something like the sketch..don't think it's identical...but hopefully near enough!!
I used my 'Pink Toes' stamp, which I think must be an old one as I can't find it anywhere now....coloured in with ProMarkers. The flowers were part of a present off my gorgeous  friend Gez  which I have coloured slightly with my chalk inks..The scrolls are a Marianne Die...
The Doily is a vintage one...probably from the early 70s that me and mum found earlier this week...Papers are K&Co..  All I needed then was a little sentiment, courtesy of PI..
Thanks for looking and I'll hopefully catch up with you all very soon..

Remembering.....

happier days and lovely friends......
Morning...I've been meaning to share this scrapbook page with you for a few weeks, but unfortunately I haven't been at home long enough to download it from the camera.....
Not the best of photos either.....
This always makes me smile though......Taken on my birthday last year when I did the most fantastic workshop with Kate Crane and some lovely friends....In the photo is the gorgeous Gez...with Kate in the middle.
I used Dylusions spray to colour the White card and then just layered paper from my stash.
Thanks for looking....
I'll try and catch up soon....life is still a bit stressful.....

Happy Birthday Bry!!!

Hi there...
Yesterday was my lovely Bry's birthday and whilst the day didn't exactly go as I hoped it would....we had a lovely couple of hours out and a nice lunch before visiting dad..
Here is the card I managed to 'cobble' together for him...For some reason I'm not too good with ideas for male cards and also I think my Mojo has taken off somewhere sunny and warm....
I used the fantastic 'Old Truck' stamp by Darkroom Door....which I am ashamed to say I have had for ages and never inked....Coloured in with watercolour pens.. The background paper is a K&Co one I've had for longer than I care to remember...The message stamp I have also had for an age..it is an old wooden one I got from QVC ages ago, with I think a ship stamp...I do love my wooden stamps!
Thanks for looking, I will try and catch up with you soon...life is a bit stressful at the moment and I'm just taking each day as it comes...

Books Of Secrets......

Hi there....
I am taking part in a Book of Secrets swap.....don't think I'll be doing much more in the way of swaps this year.....so I tried to make the most of this one....
If you have a look here  you'll see what they are supposed to look like....
Now of course in the King household nothing ever goes even slightly to plan...and you must all know by now I am not good at anything that requires accuracy, straight lines or measuring.....
So what happens when I buy matches that a different size to the instructions????? Of course I ended up drafting Bry in to help and as usual he saved the day with his patience and accuracy skills...
I somehow ended up having to make 3 books...don't ask!!! so I'll split the pictures into 2 blog posts otherwise you'll be asleep before the end of the post....
The first theme was 'Fairies'.....
Love this stamp she is by Smeared Ink and coloured with my ProMarkers..

This is a stamp I got from the NEC last year, again coloured with ProMarkers..

Don't you just love ♥♥♥ Stampotique?
I have used 'Angel Boy'
and...'Angel'
The backgrounds for these were created with finger painting with my Dylusions Paints...

For the next two pages I have used some gorgeous Lavinia stamps and a distress inked background...

My second book was about Time and Vintage...
Just a couple of photos to share...this was the first book that I made and I'm not altogether sure I like it or it is good enough....

I used FAB PaperArtsy stamps on this on...

And an 'Alice' ATC on this one....The backgrounds were created by stamping and clear embossing a clock stamp and then colouring with Distress Inks..

I just hope my swapees like them......
I'll be back tomorrow to show you my very favourite pages......'SteamPunk'..
Thanks for looking..
