Happy Birthday..........

to my gorgeous Mum :)

93 years young today...A fabulous lady and a real inspiration. She has been through so much, especially since we lost dad, but thankfully she embraces life and enjoys every day....She is in pain with Arthritis..especially in her knee but she doesn't let it get her down.

We've just bought her a 'wheelie'.. a walking frame with wheels that she can use when we are out and about..we used it for the first time on Friday and though nervous she coped with lunch-time crowds and very uneven pavements..

Here is the card I made her..she is an avid knitter...

She loves PINK too...something she hasn't passed on to her daughter!!! At the moment she is knitting a green cardie..so I used green, as I haven't much in the way of  PINK....I have had the papers for as long as I can remember and the pad is barely used...I intend to rectify that!

The stamp is a Woodware one...'Knitting Bag'   as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it!! :)

Coloured with ProMarkers. The buttons are a Memory Box die.

Happy Birthday Mum, love you lots....

Thanks for looking..

Believe In Yourself...

Or as Bry said...'Isn't she a bit green?'

Hi there..another page for my Junk Journal........

This is the 2nd piece of card which I used to 'mop up'........I didn't realise how green my girlie looked!! The reason is that she's been stamped onto a blue printed paper, so my skin tones came out greener that usual! I still love her though! Again from the Dina Wakley 'All The Gals'.......I have extended her and given her some arms, a heart on her front and a heart on her cheek....

I think this is a lesson I really need to learn as I have no self-belief at all!!

I have made a start on my next 2 pages.....going back to my favourite colours.........

This one is, of course my favourite :) Orange, pink and yellow sprays with a bit of gesso through a stencil.

This one has come out slightly pinker, but you can still see the Orange :) gesso through a stencil again!

Going to have to put some thought into mum's birthday card today.......I can't believe she'll be 93 years young this coming Sunday......she is amazing.

Thanks for looking..

Some Days Are.....

Just Hard...

Hi there....another page for my Junk Journal.....

I am really enjoying this and don't feel as much pressure as I do when working in my Journals...but I will get back to them soon I hope...

This is Watercolour card I had quite a bit of blue acrylic paint left on my craft mat, so I just added some water and used 2 pieces of card to mop up! I then just added some more paints and Dylusions stamps. My gorgeous girlie is from the same Dina Wakely set as I used the other day... 'All the Gals'.... She does look a bit like I do sometimes...having a bad hair day! She's coloured with my Coloursoft pencils..

I have journalled on the back...some days are hard and also now looking after mum our roles have been reversed to some extent....but I also know I would do exactly the same again if I had to. I didn't realise but on the torn book page she is sat on it has the words 'she's not a child' which also seemed to fit in with my feelings...growing up and growing old isn't always easy!

Thanks for looking...

All the things ...

I wish I was!!

Strong, bold and valiant!

Welcome to the 2nd page of my Junk Journal....I loved making this page...

I am practising drawing Faces...but until mine are fit to be seen I am using my gorgeous stamps....This beautiful girlie is by Dina Wakley...'All The Gals'   I extended her a little and gave her some skinny arms!! She's stamped onto patterned paper and coloured with my Coloursoft pencils...Unusually for me I love how she has turned out!

It's a fine day...

and I'm perfectly happy!!

Hi there....Totally inspired by the lovely and very talented Kate Crane I am making a Junk Journal...

It's about 6" square with some smaller pages which I hope will sit well mixed in! Made with cereal boxes and packaging ...mostly from that wonderful website Amazon!!

This is my first page........

I've dusted off my Bind it All and have made holes in my pages...It took me a while to remember how to line them up...so not all the pages are the same size!! But this is a Junk Journal after all!

The background is made up of acrylic paints . My puffin is this fabulous one by CI the words are from this stamp....... I'm sure he'll be making an appearance very soon! The only thing I'd do differently is not to emboss my Puffin...but on the whole I'm pleased with how this turned out!

I'm going to enter this into the CI challenge this month...the theme is 'Anything Goes'....

Flowers!

Hi there...

I have been a fan of HobbyArt stamps ever since they made wooden stamps...

Here is one that I have made with one of the new Florals...

I stamped the Flower 4 times on the background and coloured it with my Coloursoft pencils.......All I needed were a couple of my 'tatty' flowers and a sentiment.

This time I have used my favourite B-Line wooden stamps..these aren't available any longer..though they do make 'cling' stamps...
