You've been 'Framed'..........

Hi there...

This feels like a bit of a blast from the past.. so much so that I had to hunt down my little pockets and a stamp for the back....

What am I talking about..........

ATC swapping :) Goodness it's ages since I've done any swapping and I have forgotten how much fun it is....Since rejoining Facebook after a couple of years absence I found a couple of groups that hold monthly swaps, so I decided to take the inky stampy plunge!

My first is for the Stampotique group...the theme is 'Framed' and here are my 2 ATCs....all ready to post at the end of the week..

I have used 'Agatha Crown'  I love ♥ her.....

For the background I created what I think is called a masterboard....I took an A4 piece of my stamping card and brayered a few colours of paint onto it then added some splodges and extra stamping and doodling and then chopped it up to cover my ATCs...My girlie is coloured with ProMarkers and Coloursoft pencils...

I have used some of the quote from Jo Capper-Sandon's 'Sometimes I pretend'..

I had such fun making these I know I'll be making more...just hope my swapees like them...there are some seriously good artists in the group!

Art Journal....

Summer School!

I am taking an online Art Journal Summer School course....My intention was to keep up with the videos and do all my homework and everything! I really should have known better......After all I am still finishing last Christmas' 'Journal My Christmas' so what hope have I got for summer school??? As mum always says 'God loves a trier' so I am trying!!!

I think it may be the case that I don't do everything right now...but I am downloading all I can and will try and catch up :) :) Also I think that some of the more advanced 'painty' ones may be a bit beyond me...so it's a case of dipping in and out and doing the ones that make me smile :)

I started with the lovely and very talented Kate Crane her video is a wonderful riot of colour and flowers.....Doodling...something that I am trying....

This is a little test piece made for my Junk Journal...lots more practice needed I think...but they are all 'drawn' by my own fair hand! I drew them on watercolour card and used my little set of water colours....which I did have to brush the dust off!! They haven't seen the light of day for about 5 years!

When I showed it to Bry..he could see a face...which I couldn't at the time but now can...very abstract...it did occur to me to try and put a border round it to make it into a face...maybe next time!!!

Thanks Kate for the inspiration...........

July...

Is here!

Hi there...I don't know who stole June....how can it be July all ready???

Here are my July Calendar pages...totally inspired by the lovely and talented Kate Crane

But first last months...all filled in!

Here is July.......looking a bit PINK in the photo! It doesn't look quite this PINK in real life!! It is bright which is what I wanted for the Calendar pages...The dark bits in the bottom right are testament to my non camera skills and are shadows!!!

I have used one of Kate's fabulous Stampotique stamps and put a crown on her!! She's stood on some mop up kitchen roll! Border stamps are Dylusions, as are the very bright sprays I've used for the background...

Thanks for looking..

Queen..

Of everything!

Hi there...

I have finished one of the Tags I started at Kate Crane's wonderful workshop last week...I can't believe it's a week ago..where does time go??

I added the tag to a Journal page which I had already started to paint...

I have used another of Kate's stamps...she may just have to come and live with me :) ♥♥♥ her! She's coloured with Coloursoft pencils, a little glossy accents on her crown and she has Liquid Pearls on her cheeks :)

Thanks for looking..

Hello...

Francesca!!

I've been playing with the gorgeous 'Wonky Tonk' girlies designed by the very talented Tracy Easson.

She is the gorgeous 'Francesca' I had already created the 'painty' background...She is coloured with my Coloursoft pencils. I have extended her shoulders and added a little dress with a fancy collar! I did try to put a hat on her...but messed it up completely so instead of throwing the complete page...as is the way everything was stuck down when I made the mistake!! I stamped her hair again and added another 'curl'...I am quite chuffed with how she turned out!!

I also finished my tag with a little black card and some fibres.

Thanks for looking...

Inky....

FUN!!!

Hi there..

I'm not long back from a grand day out with the very lovely and talented Kate Crane...Gosh it was lovely to take part in a workshop again....I felt really nervous to begin with, but Kate and the other lovely ladies soon put me at my ease......

We were using Dylusions inks...I have multi coloured fingers now...combined with bits of black and white paint!!

We started with a small background and Kate's lovely stamp..He might have to just come and live with me...I love ♥ him...

These are the backgrounds I created...

It had to be Orange really!! The gesso seemed to spread from the stencil so Kate suggested white pen doodled round...I am loving these now!!

Kate very kindly gave me some more card to play with when I wasn't very keen on the first ones...

We then played in our Journals..

There's that Orange again!!

I tried to change the colour a bit....loving the Orange and Yellow and I'm hoping the Green will 'grow' on me!

I had a fantastic day...and I can't wait for the next one...15th October...already booked :) We are going to be playing with paints then...

A massive thank you to Kate...so patient, so lovely.....
