Beach Babes!

Hi there....

Today I have an ATC to show you made with the gorgeousness that is Rogue Redhead!

I made the background using a Unity stamp...'Open Bloom' Distress Inks and embossing powder.

I used the lovely 'Beach Babes'..........She is stamped onto separate card and coloured with Copics. She's stood on a piece of old book paper and washi tape. The sentiment is stamped onto Pearlescent card and coloured with Distress Inks.

Thanks for looking and I'll see you soon....

LBD Tag!!!!

Hi there.........

I thought I would have a play with some of my new stash yesterday........Happy Days!!!!

I decided to use one of my Prima Mixed Media Doll Stamps

This one did sort of shout out LBD to me, so I decided to go with Black and White...:-)

I started with a large piece of Cream Pearlescent card.......these stamps are HUGE!!!

The background stamp is a small clear Anna Griffin one which I have just stamped all over the background and then clear embossed...

I coloured her with Copics and stood her on book paper and washi tape....I used glossy accents on her dress and unfortunately the camera didn't like it!!!

I'm not sure what make the sentiment stamp is..I found it in my unmounted stamp pile!!!!...but it says..

'Live for the day......' there is more to the quote, which I've stuck on the back...can't remember the exact words!! and it's parcelled up ready to post now...something like....'remember everyone who passed on the dessert trolley on the Titanic'!!!!!!

I finished off with some punched flowers (of course!).......ribbon and gems.

Thanks for looking and I'll catch up with you soon...

Happy Day!!.........

Hi there........

Last Saturday I was lucky enough to go to Port Sunny with 2 wonderful friends.......I thought I'd share some photos of the stash that I bought...........didn't realise there was quite so much.........

Firstly though a photo pinched from the lovely Lindsay    It's been so long since we have seen her and it was so lovely that the first person we saw when we went in was her........It was so good to get my 'Lindsay hugs!'

L-R....my FAB chauffeur Elaine, me, Lindsay and Elaine's mum Kath....These lovely ladies are a real tonic and the laughs we had that day were just what I needed............It's been too long girls, lets make sure that we can do it all again very soon....

After seeing Lindsay we spied the PaperArtsy stand and decided that this would be our first port of call.......
What a good idea, for as soon as we got there I saw Chris who was there with Sarah.........wonderful!! I got one of Chris' lovely ATCs...Thanks Chris....I'll be in touch very soon, hopefully..
We then set about shopping........
Gorgeous stamps, paints and grunge paste, oh and some Treasure Gold....

We then saw Barbara Grey demo-ing the Gelli Plate.......now I have resisted so far, not being really sure if I NEEDED one! Seeing a few minutes of her demo convinced me.....so the Gelli has come to live with me :-)
Along with a couple of Barbara's new stamps and masks :-)

Opposite Barbara was the lovely Kay from Indigo Blu.........well it would have been plain rude not to shop, wouldn't it???? Love ♥ the stamps and that lace........£3 for 10 metres....bargain!

Then it was over to Lili of The Valley

and paper HAD to be bought.......as well as some of their gorgeous stamps......

We also paid a visit to Crafty Individuals.......I was very sad when my very favourite Scroll stamp 'disappeared' and I was telling Malcom about whilst purchasing a replacement...and bless him he found me another Scroll,  but facing the opposite way and he gave it to me....so I now have 2!!.......So big thanks to both Jean and Malcom...

And here they are......along with my purchases from Lavinia..

After lunch we caught up with the talented Ali Reeve and some masks were purchased!

Lastly we found some lovely Prima goodies...including the stencil that has found it's way into the photo above!

And when I got home there was an envelope with a little parcel wrapped like this......

Which contained these..........

And that's not all..................the lovely Lou from MTDS sent me a lovely package and card to cheer me up....which it certainly did!!!

Almost there!!! I also won some goodies in a FaceBook giveaway from Charmed Cards

Thank you Karen for your super quick posting...it arrived yesterday........

Thank you for staying with me for such a long post!!!

I'll try and catch up with you soon.......but now I have lots of lovely stash to play with.... :-)

Milliner Miss...

Hi there...

Today is my posting day on MTDS....And I'm going to show you a little card made with some of my very favourite stamps....I know, I seem to say that all the time!!........... But these really are!!! Red Rubber and Ladies :-) How much better can you get???!!!

They are 'Milliner Misses'  by the wonderful Rogue Redhead.....

She is coloured in with Copics and I've cut a Nestie shape for her to sit on....

The card is quite small....about a 5" square, but I had enough room to add my tatty flowers and of course my ribbon!

Thanks for looking and I'll see you soon...

Anastasia....

Hi there.....

I spent a wonderful Saturday with some very dear friends at the Happy Stampers Show at Port Sunny.........The very lovely Lindsay  was demo-ing.........It's been too long since I've seen her and I knew I wanted to take along a 'little' something which I'd promised her ages ago.....

And this is what I came up with.......

I cut a large-ish Tag out of Pearlescent card and used some Rub Ons before I set about colouring it with my Distress Inks. I seem to remember that Lindsay likes Lilac/Purpley tones so I decided to go with that! I used some small dotty background and mesh style stamps, which I think are from a set of Lindsay's clear backgrounds....I have had them ages!!!
My gorgeous Lady is Anastasia  by Unity....Love Unity stamps......We have a great selection here   I ordered her direct from the States though, really good delivery...She is coloured with Copics and Spectrum Noirs and is standing on some washi tape.....The Quote is another Unity one, this time by Phyllis Harris with just a touch of Glossy Accents...

I very happy to report that Lindsay liked her Tag.....and I got a wonderful Lindsay hug :-) The day was slightly marred by somebody taking some of Lindsay's gorgeous samples and also some of her ink pads..........Why do people think they can do this??? It makes it worse, I think by the fact it's a crafter that's done it.....

Thanks for looking and I'll catch up with you soon...

ps.....when hubby isn't looking I will take a photo of my new stash....and hopefully 'borrow' Lindsay's photo of us......

Simply Betty.....

Tag..........

Hi there.....

I have been playing with Tags again......

I had some with backgrounds started, this one is with my Pan Pastels.........

I used a couple of clear background type stamps and used Black VersaFine and Purple VersaFine and then clear embossed. I added a bit of washi tape at the top and also with a torn bit of book-page for Ali to stand on....

I've got her as a clear stamp but she is now available in digi.......here

Coloured with Copics and Spectrum Noirs....I've added some Glamour Dust over the background, it gives a lovely soft sheen, but it's not glittery!

I just added a word plate, some Doo-Dads and ribbon and I was done........

Thanks for looking and I'll catch up with you soon....

How Beautiful A Day.......

Can Be When Kindness Touches It......

Hi there...... This is the little card that I should have posted on the MTDS blog last week.....Better late than never!!

I've used a set from one of my favourite stamp companies.....'Flourishes'.........The set I have used is 'Zinnia' available here....

Stamped, clear embossed and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens. I've then used glossy accents over the top (which the camera doesn't like!)....

These stamps are so lovely, you really don't need to do an awful lot more with them.....So I just matted it on a couple of layers of coordinating card and found a fancy edge card blank.......

Thanks for looking and I'll see you soon...
