Queen..

Of everything!

Hi there...

I have finished one of the Tags I started at Kate Crane's wonderful workshop last week...I can't believe it's a week ago..where does time go??

I added the tag to a Journal page which I had already started to paint...

I have used another of Kate's stamps...she may just have to come and live with me :) ♥♥♥ her! She's coloured with Coloursoft pencils, a little glossy accents on her crown and she has Liquid Pearls on her cheeks :)

Thanks for looking..

Hello...

Francesca!!

I've been playing with the gorgeous 'Wonky Tonk' girlies designed by the very talented Tracy Easson.

She is the gorgeous 'Francesca' I had already created the 'painty' background...She is coloured with my Coloursoft pencils. I have extended her shoulders and added a little dress with a fancy collar! I did try to put a hat on her...but messed it up completely so instead of throwing the complete page...as is the way everything was stuck down when I made the mistake!! I stamped her hair again and added another 'curl'...I am quite chuffed with how she turned out!!

I also finished my tag with a little black card and some fibres.

Thanks for looking...

Inky....

FUN!!!

Hi there..

I'm not long back from a grand day out with the very lovely and talented Kate Crane...Gosh it was lovely to take part in a workshop again....I felt really nervous to begin with, but Kate and the other lovely ladies soon put me at my ease......

We were using Dylusions inks...I have multi coloured fingers now...combined with bits of black and white paint!!

We started with a small background and Kate's lovely stamp..He might have to just come and live with me...I love ♥ him...

These are the backgrounds I created...

It had to be Orange really!! The gesso seemed to spread from the stencil so Kate suggested white pen doodled round...I am loving these now!!

Kate very kindly gave me some more card to play with when I wasn't very keen on the first ones...

We then played in our Journals..

There's that Orange again!!

I tried to change the colour a bit....loving the Orange and Yellow and I'm hoping the Green will 'grow' on me!

I had a fantastic day...and I can't wait for the next one...15th October...already booked :) We are going to be playing with paints then...

A massive thank you to Kate...so patient, so lovely.....

My Week Off...

Work!
Hi there...I have been off work this past week...I can't say I'm looking forward to going back tomorrow...but I keep telling myself that it's only 4 hours and that will soon go!

We have had quite a busy week....the weather has been mostly gorgeous...so  we did a little walking, a couple of gym visits for me (I really need to go more often looking at the latest photos!) We fitted a trip to that well known Swedish store, so I have a now beautifully framed print that has only been waiting to be framed since Christmas! Whilst we were there I looked at the fabrics...as a girlie must do! I got 2 bargain pieces....and I made a skirt with one of them....bought the fabric in the morning, made the skirt in the afternoon!

I really need to lose a few pounds!!!

I have also had some lovely post this week...I won the new set of Girlie stamps from Lili of the Valley, which are gorgeous. Then yesterday, some lovely Girlie stamps designed by the very clever Tracy Easson landed on my doormat....I had to wait until today to play......

She is beautiful, isn't she? I was so excited about finishing her, that I haven't punched a hole and added ribbon at the top yet!! It seems to have been ages since I have got generally inky, painty and messy and it did take a bit of practice and a bag full of recycling before I got the background I was happy with! She's coloured with ProMarkers for her skin and then Coloursoft pencils over the top and for her top...I have extended her a bit and used the dream stamp from the same set....She looked a bit like she was floating on the tag and I wasn't sure how to ground her...I did have the bright idea of cutting the tag..which didn't work, so I glued and stapled it back on!

I am hoping that just a tiny bit of  Kate Crane's talent will rub off on me....I'm going to my very first workshop in about 3 years on Saturday with Kate at the Craft Range in Burnley, getting colourful with ink sprays I think! Then in July I'm taking part in the Art Journal Summer School...so hopefully learning lots of new techniques......

Happy Anniversary...

To my best friend and soulmate....

20 Years ago...how did that happen??

We have had a lovely day.......... a nice leisurely lunch and then we went to see 'Alice Through The Looking Glass'.......brilliant film, absolutely loved it and it was wonderful to hear the fantastic and much missed Alan Rickman's voice, albeit very briefly...

Here are a couple of wedding photos......I really can't believe it's 20 years ago......

With my gorgeous mum and dad..Miss him so much...Our Anniversary is always a bit bitter-sweet...it would have been dad's birthday a couple of days ago.......

My favourite photo...

Here's hoping for lots more happy years...

She's coloured with my Coloursoft pencils. The background matt is embossed. All it needed was my favourite Candi, sentiment and curled flowers...

Calendar Pages ....

Hi there...

I thought I would join in with the lovely (and very talented) Kate Crane's Calendar challenge....

When I got my Journal out, I was really surprised to find that it's 2 years since I last joined in....I am going to do better this time!!...

Here is June..

I have decided that this is going to be my 'Happy Place'....I'll use my diary for my day to day 'doings'..this is only for happy thoughts...With that in mind I wanted to make it orange and yellow..with a bit of green! This is my huge A3 Journal..I used one page a month last time, but I think double pages are better!!

I have use acrylic paints and my brayer....My gorgeous girlie is 'Mela' byStampotique.

My happy today is ....my lovely new nail colour... a bit of a change!!
